But I'm sure most Farage-leaning voters really don't care - and worse, most of them think and say the sort of things Farage has kept hidden all these years. It's not going to damage him with his key supporters, and there are enough of them to make him PM.

I think inarticulate rich people should be allowed to have media companies so they can try to explain important things to more intelligent people like us.

Also the Chincha Islands war 1865-79 between Spain and Peru, Chile, Bolivia and Ecuador, which I'd never heard of till earlier this year. Although initially about birdshit (ok, rich guano deposits) it was also an attempt by Spain to regain part of its empire, so the USA should have intervened.

Maybe Trump will start hitting people. Not every dementia patient lashes out, but it's fairly common. I'd like to see him hit Hegseth particularly, but any of them will do.

The rich people who fund these disruptor parties aren't doing it because they think it'll be good for the country. Nor do they think it's in their financial interest. Instead, they're doing it out of spite - "I'm extremely rich but no one in power takes me seriously - this'll teach them!"

Scary story. Surprised the deli owner tried it on - must have been expensive in lawyers and PR fees, and now has caused considerable reputational damage. Mind you, Yasmin Khan should consider a patent action against historian Yasmin Khan, author of the excellent The Raj at War.

Thanks. Not heard of her before. I worry that the world is crowded with nutters nowadays, but I suppose it always was - the difference being that 100 years ago inarticulate nutters had no way of telling people they were barking mad - but now they can ramble away on social media (oops!)
