Every few months I get a reminder just how much I love Pokemon. I sat and watched the Presents this morning with my kids and it was a lot of fun to see them getting hyped about everything and spinning theories.

I don’t do art, but last night I finally broke out the watercolors I got last week (after 3 weeks of hemming and hawing). Just winged it for 2 hours, woke up at 5:30 and did it for another 2 hours. So I guess I do art now.

I’m super late to the game, am only a few episodes into season 1, but hot damn, Severance is incredible. We watched two episodes before bed (a mistake) and I haven’t stopped thinking about it I begrudgingly turned the tv off.

I deleted Bluesky because I was falling back into doom scroll habits I don’t like/won’t survive another 4 years of. Thankfully I found Dead Cells because that game whips ass. Now I’m going to try and be good and not doom scroll.

Finished reading my first book of 2025, Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky. Took me a bit of time to get into (and getting back into reading in general), but I really enjoyed it. It scratched a certain hard sci-fi itch.

I popped into the queue for NIN tickets and then saw the prices. I'd rather see a dozen $15-30 local shows than one big show in an arena.
