I agree we did this too. It was called DEAR (Drop Everything And Read). I think it was helpful.
when I was in the first grade we had a half-hour every day where everything stopped and the class spent half an hour silently reading a book of our own choosing and I feel we should go back to that.

Watching these ladies fight unlocked a memory of when my kickboxing gym trainer suggested I compete. She sat me down to watch a fight. They was kicking each other in the face…..had to hit her wit a strong no cuz I’m black & I don’t play like that! Lol
