what ive found is that the more raw and unprocessed or unwashed a fruit is, the more likely i am to react, but cooking (breaking down protein chains) and washing does seem to alleviate or negate my issues UVU

it can come and go for me which is why i think i fall under this phenomenon, there must be a spike in my reaction when pollen is more present, either in the air or on the food. for example i have minor and sometimes nonexistent reactions to these foods:

i pop a loratadine (claritin) when i wanna eat tomatoes in peace, a simple antihistamine is taking care of the discomfort and i wonder if it would be similar for your kiddo!

im also allergic to tomatoes and i found that sometimes its not actually the tomato that you can be allergic to, its a pollen that activates a cross reaction so it makes it LOOK like ur allergic to the tomato, its something about how proteins can become entangled & our immune system misdiagnosing it
