"DEI" is viewed unfairly by many people outside of the DEI spectrum because it doesn't benefit them. i think it's a good cause with good intentions, but perhaps its execution has left the people that aren't under the DEI umbrella to feel isolated and ignored

i watch anime because its so different from the "norm." if they make anime like any other cartoon it won't have the same charm and feeling

i do want a "pure/original" anime experience as well. however, i do enjoy when japanese artists incorporate some western elements (like panty and stocking)

dei promotes unity in individualism which goes against the japanese worldview that prioritizes collectivism
