Good afternoon Skylarks. Just finished "Rental Person Who Does Nothing: A Memoir" and can really recommend it. I think this is a good book when you are in a slump. Or still mourn the end of a hefty book.

Finished it this week. Yes, a monster (or a dragon) of a book. But really good. Don't lose heart in the middle.

Sandor Marai's book "Embers" is the one I gift most in my life. Such a great writer.

I have that on my radar (and on my pile). Let me know how you get on with it

Ah, just started!

Oh, don't know that one! Good shout.

Good morning Skylarks. Finished last night "Annie Bot" and found it meh. Started this morning on "Halcyon Years" which has "Altered Carbon" vibes. More lightweight but good for a dreadful, rainy Sunday.
Hope you are all well.

I had to look up "remote page turner". The world never ceases to amaze me.

That looks good!

Oh, are you feeling better Mr. Womble?

Good morning Skylarks. Still with "King Sorrow" by Joe Hill. It is a beast of a book (or shall I say a mighty dragon?). Last week was very busy so little time to read but this week looks better. Highly recommend!

Oh! Have lots of travelling ahead (alas only work), so need something easy yet engaging. Will check it out.

Good morning Skylarks. Despite the rain I somehow feel toe-wriggling happy. There is already a candle filling my lounge with autumn smells, my favourite lentil soup is in the making and I am currently reading "King Sorrow" by Joe Hill. I think I won't move from my couch today. ☺️

Good morning Skylarks. Currently reading "The Place Where They Buried Your Heart by Christina Henry". While it sounds like your bog standard "bad house eats people" story, it is unexpectedly tender and deals also with coping and grief. Hope everyone is either well or on the mend.

Will let you know 🤣

Oh, that's on my list. Am now anticipating this after THAT praise.

Good morning Skylarks. This month is all about Horror Stories and I gallop through them. Currently "Wounds: Six Stories from the Border of Hell" by Nathan Ballingrud (not on Blue). I injured my hand whilst cooking (bad oil burn), so it is not only fitting but have now every excuse to rest 🤣
