I totally agree I didn’t mind 2 adding lore and an actual plot but it has had no pay off. I was not liking making Sierra a kind of Jesus character but it was ignorable. But then 3 happened… and the Jesus and biblical stuff got more obvious and that really turned me off

The gore is actually what I loved about it so much. Mostly because I love practical effects and these movies excel at that. It’s the addition of trying to explain and add lore that killed it got me 😅 I think what made the first so unique was its lack of explanation. Art just was ya know.

Ya know… I really wanted to. Lmao. And it’s not the worst but I definitely prefer the first movie. I think the creative decision to go all in with this very biblical overtone is what kinda killed the movie for me
