I will say it’s heartening to see the amount of journalists pointing out how few avenues for career advancement this industry provides so of course there’s outrage towards this Bari hire. She’s the epitome of a ladder puller!

If I was a journalist in the tech sector - alas I am just a freelancer who plenty of space for stories - I would be in every pitch meeting suggesting stories about how hiring in one of America’s largest job sectors has become distilled to a talent arms race for AI engineers borking everything else.
