My fears about this get amplified when people start talking about starting the conversation on recognizing AI as people legally. Like, we have human being that aren’t really afforded the same rights as people, maybe we should work on that before getting sidetracked by AI rights.

Could there be a value in legislation that targets data retention and privacy? Like maybe if you had to present proof of age to opt out of the privacy protections that enable them to retain data about your past interactions with the Platform?

I’ve been saying for awhile now that my take on the danger is that AI is sycophantic and constantly seeking engagement. With how easily we all anthropomorphize everything it’s really easy for people to start seeing AI as human possibly decide that actual humans are less human than the AI.

Some of them, depends on the lineup, Stark would, probably Hawkeye, but I think Thor would split from the Avengers over this, I don’t think Banner would go along with it and I feel certain that Cap would join our side of the fight.
