While not considered edible, it is a close relative to the chestnut mushroom, Pholiota adiposa, which is considered choice.

It’s a Helvella, likely Helvella lacunosa. It’s known commonly as elfin saddle. Here’s one I found today.

Honey mushrooms have white spores. Put a cap against a dark background. Also most times but not always when you pull on them, you will get a “clump” all attached together at the base

Pick a frond and place it gill side down on a dark background. In other words, make a spore print.
