Someone could gradually lead them to a pro-rejoin, one-nation not rabidly neoliberal, pro human rights (anti-bigot) position and in the interests of power outflank Labour from the left because being in power is better than not. Absolutely, I really wish some of these people would face actual consequences for their behaviours… material consequences

I find it depressing that we lack a tradition of prosecuting and jailing politicians for their actions in office.

Always worth trying. I remember an audio series from when my children were young. Richard Briers was a gardener, worked with the animals… nice series. One memorable line, “Let’s see what we can do… together”
