i like that the levels are still open ended playgrounds with "missions" layered on top vs. galaxy's "linear mario in space" design. although i think 64's levels are weirder and more varied so it's cooler

saw a post about editors (in the writing sense) and i wonder what that would look like for games.... i mean services like that exist but i think they are uncommon and don't have the same kind of place in the culture as editors do to authors. i guess it'd kinda just be a playtester that you listen to
