Me too. I’m willing to stipulate to some socially useful use cases for genAI, but that isn’t one, & it makes me question the rest of the talk.

Is that unfair? Probably sometimes! But I question the judgement of someone who thinks the downsides of genAI use are worth it just for images on slides.

I have wondered this for decades. And unlike Canadians, they're VERY attached to having the big gathering *on the day*. It has always struck me as extremely impractical.

A friend moved here from the US & was astonished that we're happy to have Thanksgiving dinner on Mon, Sun, or even Sat, no big.

OK but did they also change the mode from minor to major like the organ players at hockey games sometimes do 😬😬😬
