hey, you might know me as @intelectconfig.wtf

i’m deciding it might be better to compartmentalize my experience here, especially if that account upsets someone for talking about morality

i’m here to talk about my music, synthesizers, network with other creatives 🎛️🎛️
fellow musicians that have paid 10 dollars per promo for get music (after the free introductory period), do you feel like it's a good value? has it ever actively gotten ppl into your music instead of just adding one thing to their library they never think about again?

I have learned that if you want to think about your song or mix in a different way, exporting and then listening outside of the DAW does something kind of special. not being able to touch make changes, but only listening and thinking gives some really good perspective.

i have a song i’ve been trying to finish for a few months now. there was a spoken word part where i couldn’t figure out what i wanted to convey. i tried a lot of ideas and none of them fit. last night i found a poem in the public domain that is ✨

I turned the DB level of my sub down from max to a lot closer to 0 db and I'm wondering if that might end up making my mixes sound less shitty on my HomePod 2

the new features in live 12 and the new template that I decided to install looks and feels exciting ✨

almost no one who streams my music on bandcamp listens to an entire song. it happened 3x in the last 2 months for me.

i think the residents were really onto something when they released the commercial album. most people don’t want to consume more than 90 seconds of music at a time.

i used to try to organize cables in really complicated ways. now it’s

- audio
- digital
- power

and it has uncomplicated my life and my cable management so much.

need a 1/4 inch to 1/4 inch cable? oh, that’s in the audio cable bag.

i’ve been thinking a lot about what NOT sharing the music desk with my day job will look like and this is probably the first step with space for a few synths on the lower surface

i think i should get rid of my just friends eurorack module. it is such a cool idea, but i never use it as an envelope which means it is kind of just a very modulatable LFO with 6 outputs. feels like i could get something that would get more use out of that HP. the multimod is calling my name.

yesterday‘s version of “I need to make music “ was me installing some software and writing down some outlines for some song ideas. Sometimes planning and prepping is working on music too.
