Except nobody is substituting an AI for a human. I don't think this is that different from using the AI powered photo editing tools that Google Photos etc. have.

If an artist tells me that they would like me to send them an AI generated image as part of the reference images as a starting point, I'm not about to demand my money back and walk away. They're the expert here so I'm not going to argue with them about what they need for the commission.

I don't know if it's the aphantasia (mine is complete and total) or what but it's literally impossible for me to sketch out anything and not for lack of trying. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do here. Just... Not support an amazing human artist?

I've tried to commission human artists who will only work from some reference images and have asked for an AI example to serve as a starting point for discussion instead of turning down the commission for lack of a preexisting reference. And no I am completely incapable of drawing anything.

Lots of people care. Conservatives care because they're bigots and their whole idea of policy is "how many people can we hurt" and liberals care because hey turns out people are people and we should acknowledge our common humanity.

Privacy outside of major metros is non-existent. My spouse describes the first time he rode his bike without a helmet as a kid. Three people had already called his mother by the time he got home. Cities are where you go for privacy.
