Balefire in the books is super interesting btw. (The laser gun thing). It removes people from time and their past existence disappears too, which as a doctor who fan you can imagine what hijinks ensue

The makeup for the eelfinn (fox guy) was absolutely shocking. The show as a whole looks amazing and then they introduce a fantasy race and it's like we're in 1990s Jim Henson derivative land

I'm sorry! My reply was thoughtless and I'm sorry it was irritating.

My mind was on recent situations in Texas where we've gone from herd immunity of measles to enough people being unwilling to be vaccinated that there's been outbreaks. Maybe that doesn't relate or align with what you're saying.

I mean vaccines are a counter example to that...

Calling her an influencer feels the same as calling Ezra Klein a "blogger". Sure it may be technically true but sure seems intentionally reductionist

What's the alternative, after all? Continue to demonize the 74 million people who voted the way we don't like and the 10 million or so people who could have voted our way and stayed home?

Doesn't seem like the best practice if we ever want to win elections ever again.

I don't really understand how anyone can read this in a positive light? Like, even if you're right leaning, doesn't this sound crazy?

Do you think this is helpful at all?

Think 1950s James Dean. Think 1980s gen x burnouts. Think Nirvana.

My answer is very white but I bet there are other less white examples too.

Coolness has always been about not caring (because caring is too painful)

Thank you for this today. I really appreciate it.

That's dedication! What is it that you like about pillars so much? I've played divinity 1 and 2 and bg3 but for some reason didn't jump into pillars and got stuck an hour or two in. Probably a me thing but curious what the vibe is that keeps you coming back to it

They had a chance to slap so hard if they had literally chosen that as dialogue

Yes, it's kept in the same room they keep the weight that weighs exactly 1kg

I honestly hope it doesn't stay that way. The conflict should hopefully end up centralized vs decentralized; multinational mega corp vs Internet protocol.
