Siema! I'm Anna, and I'm a translation major and a hobbyist artist from Poland. I usually focus on our folklore, birds, and occassionally, anthros.

I also do photography - may sometimes post. Passionate about railways and aviation as well.

Ouch. Haven't been well for the past few days. Terribly exhausted after even a short day at the uni that all I do at home is sleeping.

I probably can't continue with Birdtober like that; might draw something during weekends... so, occasionally.

...and maybe it's time to get my blood checked.

Hen and Wren.
Ink and gouache on Fabriano Medioevalis, approximately 95 × 64 mm.
Drawing in black ink, primarily in silhouette, of a hen and a Wren regarding each other quizzically. The hen stands in a patch of wild grasses whilst the wren perches on a small, leafless shrub in front of her. The hen's comb and wattle are the only touch of red gouache. The drawing is finely wrought and intricate. The piece is roughly the size of a business card.

Finally a perfect opportunity to do something with a traditional Polish twist!! Normally I'd cut everything out of paper, but... I'm a little bit short on time. University... and all that.

Back to my ol' folkbirds style because I've got the most fun with it. Technically I only draw birds that live where I live in this style, but it just... fits I guess!

In the meantime I've been trying to develop an expressive cartoonlike style (also new watercolor brushes, yay!) and nothing fits it better than a bunch of grumpy peregrines.
