I think what you're sensing was that his team had the wrong identity this season. They wanted to build around Drew Allar in his senior season, an idea I also endorsed throughout the year.

james is obviously a great coach but a take i have increasingly had is he was so paranoid about having an answer for every possible situation that his offenses had no real identity, i will now defer to my guy @t-frank.bsky.social to tell me this is wrong
