Growing up, I enjoyed my grandmother's stollen, a German sweet bread with raisins & citron. So when I buy the stollen in the stores, none are my grandmother's. She grew up in a German-speaking town, Algoma, Wisconsin, perhaps unique to there. Hers was more breadlike, glazed than those stores.
