It’s probably quite complex … I often wonder why we don’t use the considerable intellectual resources in our universities to research & solve some of these critical National issues??

They have 4 and a half years to do the right things, which may be initially unpopular. They have time. We want grown ups leading, it’s not ( at this stage) a media popularity contest…

Of course there is some truth in your (slightly rude) response but as ever the issue is not binary. The new owners are contractually committed to the USO so the current service will be (at least) maintained. It is a declining business in a declining market.
