The cat plopped down in my lap today, a rare full-on lap plop. She normally only scoots parallel to my leg, and even then only when nobody is looking. Today, lap plop in full view of the family. I suspect she may have been drinking.

Over the last few days, the direct relationship between my coffee intake and my anxiety level has come into focus. I still love coffee, and I’m not giving it up, but I’ve come to realize that if my nerves are already jangled and my heart rate is up, I need to park that next cup for later.

I’ve finished Shadow Labryinth.

At times brutally difficult, at times convoluted in narrative, but never, ever boring. And what the story lacks in clarity it more than makes up for in Pure Vibe…creating emotion out of abstraction until the very end.

And if that isn’t Pac-Man in a nutshell…

In tabletop board games our rule of thumb is generally…

-If nothing else has happened yet, let them take it back.

-If something else has happened, but the impact is minor, err on the side of fun.

Not sure if these rules apply well in online chess though, especially if rankings are a big concern.

…is it as good as Symphony of the Night or Bloodstained? For me, the “nostalgia, but warped” factor elevates it a lot, and I didn’t need it to be a genre defining game. I’m not gonna compare goats to GOATS, but it’s in the conversation for “games in the genre you should definitely check out.”
