Agree. I like to have the whole table in the same colour palette, so everything looks like it belongs together.

Yeah, when I was doing a bit of research I noticed that too. I have another MDF building that has the timber pronounced, but I think it’s over exaggerated (something that’s not always an issue when working in miniature).

A mix of scouring pads and pieces of towel soaked in diluted PVA. I’m putting together a longer post for the blog on how I did some of this.

Thanks. I think MDF kits make a great starting point, but always benefit from a few additions to break away from that laser cut look.

Thanks Joe, I didn’t go down the route of adding the wood beams, so much work involved! But I think the paint job helped to give an impression of depth.
