A variant version of Galbi with spicy flavor: much better! Happy Korean or Oriental Thanksgiving!

Happy Chuseok, the mid Autumn Harvest Festival with the full Moon!
To celebrate it, I prepared Galbi, marinated & grilled Korean beef short ribs with grilled onion & kimchi after finishing 2 proposals & submitting 1 paper to a Nature journal over the weekend.
Yummy like the Moon!

KSBB is annual, but the KSBB-AFOB combined one is unique this year. This year was amazing with great speakers for the 40 year anniversary. No synbio only conference in Korea, but our SynBYSS may be in Korea in 2028 or an Asian country.

If not staying up due to the unexpected meeting, I would have missed my dinner gathering in Korea with my ex-colleagues at LG Chem ~24h later.

Life is full of unexpected events, which lead to good or bad things depending on how positively we think about them.

The best part of trips is to meet future leaders. These students were working at 9:15 pm & I had an honor to have a great time discussing work & life for ~3h.
I came back at 12:30 am, finding my flight's 3h delay at 1:30 am. It allowed me to reschedule it & catch the new one at 7 am after 3h sleep.

#SynBYSS webinar series welcomes Prof. Jean-Michel Ané at University of Wisconsin-Madison as the 241st pioneer speaker, thanks!

The last one of my trip trilogy: Wisconsin Madison to Korea; 13 days to give 5 invited talks and attend the Korean Biotechnology conference.
Thank UW Madison people for your hospitality. I'll meet many more in Korea! 3h sleep due to flight rescheduling or delay, but excited!
