Dear Reaganomics victim...

Sure, a whole bunch of the Marvel artists were ripping off Kirby, but a lot of these guys in the 70s started out heavily influenced by John Buscema (including Perez and Keith Pollard) which is fine because Buscema was the shit.

Republicans are Nazis. It’s a mirror. It’s the same thing.

Republican officials are Nazi officials. Republican leaders are Nazi leaders. Republican propagandists are Nazi propagandists. Republican party members are Nazi party members.

Republicans are Nazis.

I started reading comics around the time of the Death of Captain Marvel GN (82) and it was one of the earliest Marvel comics I read. I was 10, with no real prior knowledge of the character, wondering: why did they give this guy cancer? It was pretty heavy to me at the time.

Anyway, good comics, man

Ever since I got home last night from work, around midnight, I feel like I'm drunk. The problem is, I haven't had any alcohol in 4 days. My balance is off and I'm dizzy every time I stand up. I don't have a fever as far as I can tell. Anyway, super fucking annoying.

The Battle Wizard (1977)

This is the final movie of the year, the Shaw Bros. completely bananas The Battle Wizard (first time seeing it, too).

I watched 698 movies this year, pretty sure the most I've ever watched in a single year since I started keeping track in 2005.

Steve Rude should be one of the highest paid comic artists in the world, he shouldn't have to beg people to buy his stuff so he can keep the lights on in his studio.

I think I've been tainted by online comic buying because I scored a coup (for me) at a LCS but there's no way they don't know the value of the comics. But I guess it also demonstrates that online comic sales are not reality at all.
