Only in much the same way that you can only imagine a good design "resistant to overreach" which "will only allow specific uses of data"

And that's a you problem. What are you smoking?
tagishsimon.bsky.social
Ha ha ha ha ha. Grow the fuck up.

I have a 53 page, 113 point bulletin for the IWM; but it's still cooking - am only ~70% through their memorials list. Mainly duff coordinates and a handful of duplicate records.

Think I'd go with repointed and perhaps repaired?

Bernie is not exactly the yardstick, though, is he.

Until you see that the Democratic Party has flaws so deep that they act against their own interest, you're bound to repeat the same patterns. Getting pissy with someone who tells you that, is for the birds. Just juvinilia.

You were out several posts ago, but you're still here. When Dems put up decently progressive candidates they get votes. When they put up machines, not so much. That's just the way it is.

I seem to remember the Biden Harris regime arming Bibi, and Kamala speaking out against pro-Palestinian demonstrators. Two of the reasons she lost.
tagishsimon.bsky.social
Nice try. Viable alternatives win. Non-viable alternatives lose. Remind me of the result, Lilith.
tagishsimon.bsky.social
Winning ad hominem argument there, Kitty. You must be proud.

Face it, you have to be really fucking useless to lose to Trump. But Kamala managed it.
tagishsimon.bsky.social
Empircally they weren't, no. They lost, remember? A viable alternative would have won.
tagishsimon.bsky.social
Your complaisence is emblematic of the reasons the Dems lost. Good luck with that.
tagishsimon.bsky.social
Don't learn the lesson, repeat the pattern in 2028. It's about the Dem candidate not the Rep candidate.
tagishsimon.bsky.social
Bigots gonna bigot. There has to be a viable alternative; the Harris Dems were not that.

Don't expect people to vote against something. People don't do that. They vote for things. Offer them a shit sandwich and watch what happens.

Sublime Fawlty Towers stuff. Accepting a P45. Losing her voice.

You're not making a difference nor helping. You're just making a fool of yourself.

'We The People' is a forlorn and bullshit line of argument, given he was elected by a subset of those people. Sorry your political savvy is still at kindergarten level, but there we are.

Maybe start by rebuilding an electable Democractic party that is not captured by consultants and corporates?

It's in the now long forgotten graveyard of a huge POW camp - 100 huts, 6,000 prisoners - at Stobs Castle, south of Hawick in the Scottish Borders.

The memorial was funded by a performance of Strauss & Offenbach at the camp on Easter Monday 1917.

Fun fact: this is probably the second or third oldest WW1 memorial in Scotland, after the Grand Fleet Roman Catholic Officers and Men memorial on Hoy (1916) and the Newhills Parish and District - Landmark Indicator (June 1917)

Celtic Cross memorial with a line of Commonwealth War Grave Commision headstones behind it, in an otherwise lawned empty cemetery Landmark indicator supported by a cast iron pillar, situated in the middle of a circular stone enclosure. It doubles up as a war memorial.

The report is overpass-turbo.eu/s/2d1d - replace nominatimArea:"Scotland" with your favoured country or area. Counts are in the bottom right corner; sum the nodes, ways and relations.

Scotland outperforming the rest of the UK; Lux a low population outlier? Germany benefits from bulk addition of Stolpersteins - 'stumbling stones', raised cobbles commemorating victims of Nazis. Beyond that, probably as reflective of effort in OSM than as a reliable count.

For no good reason beyond OpenStreetMaps being down for maintenance earlier today, here are the number of memorials and monuments per million population, and per square kilometre, for western European countries, according to OSM.

Interesting window splatter, from the days when train toilets emptied out onto the line...
