Opinion: An example of good storytelling. A Knights Tale
Great characters, each unique, the ensemble played off one another beautifully. The foreshadowing of the end with the prince was nicely placed. The villain and plot were simplistic, but it worked as a fairy tale. A satisfying ending as well.

Opinion: An example of good storytelling. A Knights Tale

I am still struggling with Phoebe. Originally she was completely delusional in seeing a different reality around her as a coping mechanism. Second attempt she is so dead serious and Neri is doing that. I want a different between them without being comical. I guess. This is frustrating. Suggestions?

I am still struggling with Phoebe. Originally she was completely delusional in seeing a different reality around her as a coping mechanism. Second attempt she is so dead serious and Neri is doing that. I want a different between them without being comical. I guess. This is frustrating. Suggestions?

Here I am excited that I finally have enough pages for this section of the book. I don't need to add anything new if I keep the previous material. Yet... I know perfectly well I have to cut pretty much everything involving Phoebe because this new version of her is so much better and interesting.

Phoebe went from a two dimensional boring kind of individual that didn't fullfil much of a role on the series other than being a love interest. Which, I hated. Now? She is in tune with the spiritual energy of not only others, but other realities. She went from "meh" to "oh my God, wow..."

I love the growth of Neri as an individual throughout the writing process. She began as a pure survivor, willing to abandon others to escape and save herself. She was the ultimate "you are on your own" loner. The more I write about her, she has changed dramatically to someone more focused on hope.

I avoid filler. I hate books that feel like it's drawing out a scene that could be done in five pages, dragging it out into twenty. However, there are times that I feel like there needs to be more, for whatever reason. I take those opportunities to build emotional depth to what may be happening.
