It just moves your data to a new server and de-authorizes the current bsky server from doing anything else.
I'm not up to date on any drama about NS though, just what I've seen from their newsletter. I have some technical concerns about their hosting company but that's in terms of uptime.

Oh and fwiw because of how the underlying structures work, people wouldn't need to re follow you or anything after the move. The backend would just be looking for your data in a different place.

Although it's still in early stages, I'd suggest looking into alternate atproto options like northsky. With your data not controlled by bsky, the most they could do is prevent you from showing up to other bsky users. Not ideal but better than account suspension.

oh for sure, that's totally valid. It's a whole exposure surface of existing in culture that's laden with red flags. I'm not fond of a lot of the things surrounding it myself, I'd just personally argue the issues lie deeper.

I don't really think you can compare gacha to wargaming no matter how you stretch it, but it's similar to how war thunder lets you play axis powers, etc. Cultural dissertations could be written on the idea but they're not a fit for bite sized social media.

Honestly I don't really fault them for that, if you're gonna make things about the era you have to grapple with that one way or another and there are a variety of options with it. They already aggressively shave hard edges off by turning weapons of war into sex objects, might as well do all of them.

If so, that's something that she's going to have to properly interrogate about herself--not as a judgement call, but as a fact that that design language is now in her history as well. With how much she sad she was against the ideology, it's something she'll need to grapple with eventually. 4/4

are from that era (all of them? I'm not well versed in the games). Cultures can sand off the edges as inspiration gets recycled back into artwork over and over again, but that's a pretty direct lineage. It seems also that she picked Bismarck as her original inspiration? 3/?

many cultures that were involved in the war that a lot of people instantly recognize the inspiration and point it out as kind of weird to show up. Her saying that the inspiration is pulled from KanColle/Azure Lane and not WW2 really just supports this take, considering those shipgirls 2/?
