I finally saw the famous Taitung Blue, even for a short period of time. Then, the weather turned overcast again.
After walking 109 km in 4 days, I developed a huge blister. It hurts 🫠

This weather is discouraging. Where is the blue I was looking for on the east coast of Taiwan? I am already thinking about taking the bus to my next stop, and it is only day 2.

It’s rare to take photos of Mr. Qixing without the crowd when the weather is perfect. Only available when everyone is busy with the lunar new year 😊

Alishan is a wonderful destination, but the crowds can be overwhelming. However, there are hidden gems that allow you to discover the unique beauty that #Alishan has to offer.

This was my first high-mountain solo hike, Yushan North Peak. Due to the weather, I had to hike from Tataka Trailhead to the North Peak on the 18th.
Luckily, I could catch the last patch of the blue sky before the clouds took over.
I’m sure I'lldo this hike again.

I reached the highest weather station in Taiwan yesterday! And also see Yushan, depicted on our $1000 banknote. Also my 33th Beiyue (100 Peaks). This hike is tough 😅
