When you sing "and be a nation again!". Mean it! Don't be a fkn hypocrite. For us to truly cherish Saint Andrew’s compassion and courage, Scotland needs the powers that come with being a nation once more. Only then can we encourage and protect the values his values represent

The saltire isn’t just a flag, it’s a reminder that we are an inclusive nation. Scotland may be small, but like Saint Andrew, it stands tall in compassion, toughness, and the will to help others. That’s why he’s the ideal patron saint.

Scotland has always been a nation that helps others, whether through hospitality, solidarity in hard times, or standing up for justice. Saint Andrew, who gave his life for his beliefs, is the perfect symbol of that courage.

Why Andrew? Because Scotland saw in him a mirror: a man who lived simply, cared deeply, and stood firm in faith. He embodied the compassion and toughness that define Scottish spirit.

Legend says relics of Saint Andrew were brought to Fife in the year 732. The town of St Andrews became a spiritual heart of Scotland, and his cross, the saltire - still flies proudly on our flag.

Enter Saint Andrew. A fisherman from Galilee, known for humility and kindness. He wasn’t a king or warrior, he was a helper, a teacher, someone who lifted others up. That’s why Scotland chose him.
