I would hear similar things when I worked installing exhibitions at the Harvard Art Museums. Summers were always busy for us, and it was rough in the old Fogg with no AC.

This first image is my version of a magatama in beautiful Guatemalan jadeite, with a carnelian bead and hand braided silk kumihimo. My wife Stephanie makes the braids with reeled silk threads she dyes with plant dyes.
