Good afternoon! I just finished Chuck Wendig's Black River Orchard - took me ages because it's too scary to read at night! Now I've started The Summer I Ate the Rich by Maika and Maritza Moulite because I am in that kind of mood despite 35 years of vegetarianism 🤣

I've seen a few parents say their kids are told to dumb down their vocabulary in case they are suspected of using AI, which is ridiculous!
My kid is a maths/science nerd so only communicates in equations.

Good afternoon! I'm reading The Fever of the World by Phil Rickman. I'm coincidentally reading Wordsworth poems (featured in the above book) as well. Last week I read the Merrily Watkins book before it about Morris dancing and coincidentally went to a Steeleye Span concert!

Yeah, the reason I left the Labour party was because he refused to back teachers who wanted a lockdown early 2021. He ended up supporting it an hour or so before Johnson.

Videos tend to have captions which helps when there's no transcripts for deaf people.

I assume so but I don't know. You hear about things like cannabis being prescribed off license for pain relief for example.

I guess she prescribes it off-license as someone says in the thread. There's probably not enough research to know if it's cause for concern. I spent ages trying to find out if vaginal oestrogen was OK after blood clots and found very few studies.

Morning! I saw your post last week about Phl Rickman and realised I haven't read the last two Merrily Watkins books so I started All of a Winter's Night. I'm also reading Mona Awad's Bunny which is funny and weird.

I got a response from the equalities minister when I wrote to my MP about it. The last paragraph doesn't sound too bad - if a little vague. bsky.app/profile/tall...
The Minister for Equaliies replied to my MP asking about the supreme court ruling on Trans people. The last paragraph isn't bad - if they mean it.

At least you get half the day to leave. My delivery yesterday was 8am-6pm. Astonishingly, they did not come when I took the dog for a walk!
