Been hard to create lately. Feels like whenever I'm excited about making things, no one around me can match the energy. I don't tend to make things for myself, but as a gift for others, so a lack of response hurts. I'm sure all artists go through something similar but it still sucks.

Had a realization. I don't care how popular my writing becomes. Not really. My real care is that the stories reach who they need to to put more light into the world than they take. That's the goal.

Dr. Heller inspects the skull of a victim of the 1806 Mycelium infections, an epidemic that decimated a village in the south of France. The fungus grew into the bone, creating ossified structures that broke out of the skin to spread spores.
