My three loaves of rugbrød (dense Danish sourdough rye) that were in the oven during our 4-hour blackout somehow turned out okay, and tonight I had power so I could sterilise jars and finish my first attempt at nasturtium flower jelly (having picked and steeped the flowers pre power outage on Sun).

It was my brother's wedding yesterday. A very special day with lots of happy memories. Made a card. Not the most elegant, but very tailored (my brother bought an old Mazda MX-5 to race, and although I couldn't get the exact model, it was close enough).

Easter eggs are big here too. The most coveted are the white hard candy ones that are chocolate on the inside. I don't think they're common elsewhere, because all the expats I know seem to miss them.

Made a set of his and hers aprons for my brother and his fiancée as part of their wedding gift. Quite chuffed with how they came out. Very easy project, but I mixed it up by swapping the two fabrics so they're opposite on each apron, and added a removable hand towel, which is always handy.

Sent my husband to the shops with a list that included MedLemon (an OTC cold and flu treatment). He came back with these and asked if they qualified as medium lemons 😂😂😂
