I like Chris Van Hollen but this reeks of a photo op. “Oh look, we are here and trying to do our job, but these guys won’t let us.” If it is their legal right to oversee these facilities, then get the help you need and bill your way in there!! This is maddening.

Actually, since these detention centers/prisons/concentration camps are privately owned, someone can surely file suit against them.

I do not disagree with you and everything you said is spot on. There will be a time for this, I’m just super afraid it might not be 2026. But yes, it would be nice if we could go back to having parties discuss things and work out deals together.

I hear you but do you think enough people would do that? I just don’t think we are there yet. If we had rank choice voting in our national elections then maybe. Color me afraid but I’m worried an independent would take votes away from the democrat and the republicans would win AGAIN!! So hard.
