You visit the Loire chateaux to see fabulous French architecture, immaculate shrubbery, historic furniture and gorgeous landscapes. What you don't necessarily expect is the beauty of the floral bouquets, with flowers picked from palace gardens. This one from Chenonceau.

Today's #BirdoftheDay, courtesy of @robcrank68.bsky.social , should be predominantly white. I think this egret qualifies, as it flew very co-operatively into an early sunrise off the French coast last week.
