I hear it happens about 0.8% of the time at DCA, highest in the US. That happened once or twice to me there. It’s not that big a deal, pilots & air traffic know what to do.

Yet Congress continues to cram more flights into DCA. They can’t be expected to use IAD/BWI for the sake of others’ safety.

Words they will never speak: “Mr. President, I respectfully disagree because …”

And we have a difference in respecting the rule of law.

This development would have been most ironic if the Commanders had defeated the Eagles in the NFC Championship Game. Their forerunner, the Redskins were the last NFL team to integrate, some 10 years after the next-to-last team and despite winning 2 games with their last 2 segregated teams.
