There's an especially lovely harmonic move at 'and dream instead of winking fairy lights'. This is an unusual and really interesting carol.

I like the use of rhythm in this one, and there was a nice detail when you expanded the 7/8 phrase to 12/8.

So true! When I was in a band, I used to joke that the flanger was the sound of Christian rock. Also, since only a few people can be in a praise band, surely that's inherently more exclusive than a choir of as many people you can recruit.

It's hard enough to write music without having to write philosophically about it too. If a piece succeeds aesthetically it will perforce speak for itself and no explanation will be necessary.
