Yep, I've done this before. Years ago, I made a birthday cake for my wife with olive oil. Definitely did taste good, and it didn't seem to be quite right. She still enjoyed the cake as she enjoyed telling her work colleagues about it.

LOL! 😀 At least it was a success in it's own way!

A comic of two foxes, one of whom is blue, the other is green. In this one, Blue looks curiously at a pie which Green has placed on a plate on the table, while Green looks at him with joy and pride.
Green: I have made a sidequest pie!

Blue listens patiently as Green goes on.
Green: Flour from the mill we visited once, mushrooms that we gathered with your mom, homegrown parsley and basil... Almost all ingredients were things we've made or gathered on adventures!

Both foxes turn back to look at the pie.
Blue: How does it taste?
Green: Bad.

Smooth is how it begins.
Time is how we spend our days
until the peaks have settled into waves.
Seasons change. Lines appear.
Wrinkled is how it ends.

There is an infinite beauty to moving water, waiting to be discovered! The purple of a winter evening's twilight is softly reflected in the fast moving waters of the St. Lawrence River, Montreal, Canada.

Ripples of sand on the top crest of a coastal dune in Namibia catch the last light of day, while wind blown sand further down glows golden as it is lifted into the light.

A harmonious interplay of lines, shape, textures and tones, as the first light of day touches the ridge lines of a coastal dune. It was mesmerizing to see how the scene transformed as the light crept into the shadows.

For a short lived moment, the soft light of the morning sun draws beautiful, dreamy bands of satin across the tips of these otherwise inconspicuous dunes in Namibia's mesmerizing Sossusvlei region.
