It was getting late in Greenland's Scoresby Sound. Our captain decided to spend the night, anchorless! Floating in the middle of a calm sea, surrounded by uncountably many icebergs, framed by giant mountains. A day we'll never forget!

Winter's end. A veil of fog covers these frozen lands. The horizon glows red, the warm light of dawn grows. In the distance, an island surrounded by frozen waters. Beautiful ice crystals have formed. The sun rises, beauty surrounds you. It may seem flat and featureless, but the frozen surface of Canada's lake Ontario is full of photography opportunities. As I was photographing sunrise, I happened to turn around to see beautiful light developing, complimented by fragments of ice sticking out of the vast, snow covered surface.
