I'll be honest, I meant to say "short" instead of long.

Sidra would prefer to have shorter hair, but if she did, she'd have to get it styled to specific standards that would fit the atmosphere of parties attended by the highest class of society. She didn't like any of the options for herself.

It genuinely may be the best way to do so when you get to know Murabaa because he's one of those;
"High IQ, Low EQ" types.

Definitely his own fault for his beliefs of how he should be, but isn't expected to be.

Finally and my personal favorite to discuss; Murabaa. His feathers serve as hair. He keeps them extremely clean to a very specific degree.
But when he's startled or flustered, the feathers on his head will burst out as they would when an Eurasian hoopoe's would when they land or are excited.

Sidra's hair is long. Really long time. She's wanted to cut it for a while, but... well, the 'culture' of her role as a noble kind of looks down on long hair unless it's styled a certain way. So she compromised and keeps it in a ponytail that stays out of the way when she's fighting.

I treat fur as hair in the series. Tycho's is required to remain at a certain length due to his job as a servant. In the winter seasons, he has to shave down a lot of excess. Otherwise, he looks like a massive fluffy golden orb and itd be extremely problematic beyond just cooking.

Tycho would genuinely believe Murabaa is just busy with more important things... but Sidra knows and rats him out to both Tycho & whoever grading the work.

Tycho is doing as much of the work as he can, Murabaa says he's busy with other stuff, and Sidra is bringing snack, also claiming she's reading up on what to do and trying to sort it out... but she gets distracted easily, and figures Tycho's got it.

Tycho only prefers handshakes for professional reasons and usually only once. Unless it's necessary.

Sidra and Murabaa could care less since they're usually fighters in the midst of battle. Getting their hands dirty is just bound to happen.

The Pokemon Legends ZA addiction is still strong. But I managed to make write a subchapter that will make me revisit another one eventually, so when the holidays and after party of Holidays are over... maybe I'll get around to.

Sometimes, I feel like it's too much, but it explains nothing. Because I always picture it like that sensation when you have earbuds in your ear, then you feel that sensation that makes you whinge because their too tight or something.

Thank you, and yeah, that's my thinking, too! I like to keep a smidge of realism in my fantasy, so it feels a bit more grounded. It's the smaller details that make a world, even a fantastical fantasy world, feel like a real place. One bound with natural order and rules.

I actually had considered that thoroughly. Eventually, I landed on; it depends on the creature. There's so many that are edible that a lot of people eat them and even serve them in restaurants(Secret menu style).

But there are some that are pretty toxic and not fit for consumption(like Basilisks).

Tycho's bringing beignets.
Sidra is bringing her latest monster bounty on iron skewers with roasted vegetables, and if she can't/didn't get anything fresh, she's bringing a store cake.
Murabaa is bringing Hawawshi or Chips.

Yeah, they've got all the well-known ones in the series. It just felt appropriate to keep them all in for a world that's only slightly different from ours.

There are human-in-appearance characters like Zues and Odin. But they're gods and as memebers of the council are very active in discussing politics and other things.

There are also regular humans among the more furry populous, there's no word for them(I'm too lazy to make one).
