All this because @antoinettelattouf.bsky.social posted **NEWS** about what Human Rights Watch was saying.

The ABC board and management involved in this are contemptible and deserve to no longer have any role with the ABC.

Jeff Bezos never wanted this cartoon to become public.

He killed it, and as a result, pulitzer prize editorial cartoonist Ann Telnaes quit.

Make sure everyone sees this cartoon.

The new ABC CEO is the same Hugh Marks who hosted a $10,000 a head Liberal Party fundraiser at Nine's headquarters.

Wow.

We'll now have a middle-aged white male who supports conservative causes in charge of the ABC.

What a refreshing change.

I mean . . . I can hardly wait.

Yet Williams questions why I won’t stay silent while being targeted, mistreated & lied about.

Seems I’m expected to be a compliant, ‘impeccable’ victim -someone who quietly accepts injustice & ignores reality.

Is this what passes for ‘ethical, sensible, constructive & respectful’ leadership? 2/2

This is astounding. In June, the FWC ruled that I was sacked. Yet ABC chair Kim Williams stood before a room full of journalists & repeatedly denied I was sacked without hesitation.

This isn’t just gaslighting—it’s a brazen disregard for both the ruling & the truth by our public broadcaster 1/2

In the early months of the NACC, one of its chief integrity officers saw the writing on the wall and quit. There were alarm bells, they told colleagues, and hints that the new executive didn't grasp the heightened responsibility of their roles. www.thesaturdaypaper.com.au/news/law-cri...
Exclusive: NACC integrity officer quits over integrity

The head of the NACC, retired judge Paul Brereton, is incapable of leading a public service organisation of over 260 people with a very forward facing and very public role

He appears either unwilling or unable to accept that he does not have the skill set required for such a vast undertaking

#NACC
I wish I was making this up, but the boss of the National Anti-Corruption Commission has given a speech where he admits that he acted with "apprehended bias" during the Robodebt non-investigation. As Bernard Keane and many others argue, Brereton has to resign www.crikey.com.au/2024/11/18/p...
Discredited Brereton should stop whingeing and resign from the NACC
The National Anti-Corruption Commission head devoted a major speech to explaining why he shouldn't resign. It perfectly demonstrated why he should.

This all-consuming book has been out for a month, as of yesterday, and is off to be reprinted. I have been too scared to ask for numbers, but I know people are buying and reading it. Thank you. The best feedback is a review like this one because it was my exact hope for this thing. Don't stop now!

Let that sink in slowly.

The head of the #NACC Paul Brereton, pulled out of appointing one of Australia's best legal minds to investigate Robodebt, because Brereton was scared of the reaction of one of the people they were investigating; Scott Morrison.

Former solicitor-general Justin Gleeson’s appointment to review the NACC’s decision on robodebt was rescinded over concerns it might offend a Coalition minister who was referred for investigation.

We recently published on a Liberal Party activist who we accused of spending an inordinate amount of their time hanging around neo-Nazi chatrooms. We'd like to apologise to Louise Black for the bad timing of publishing just as Trump won so nobody noticed. Here's a thread.

Interesting things have happened at the #NACC over the past month.

Jommy and I are currently looking at them - especially the curious case of the appointment of "an eminent legal person" that was not.

Curiouser and curiouser 🧐
