Initially a Hitler supporter and an antisemite, Lutheran Pastor Friedrich Niemoller was sent to a concentration camp (1938-1945) after he opposed the Nazification of German Protestant churches and Hitler's Aryan policies.
After WW2 he became a pacifist and anti-war crusader. He died in 1984.
