Children don't hate math! What they hate is being confused, intimidated, and embarrassed by math!
Just because many adults had this experience in school doesn't mean we can't change the narrative for our students now and in the future!

Tried a modified version of @kimrimbey.bsky.social side-by-side math today. It was awesome! Ss worked in trios - one would build, one used expanded form algorithm and one used standard algorithm. They worked together & the discussed how each are connected. #edusky #mtbos #elementarymath
