Thank you. AoI really isn't my type of game so I've let the image coverage up to some of our other users but will do 😅

If this was any other platform I wouldn't mind, as long as credit is given to our wiki, but it always hurts to see my images show up first on Google only to link to Fandom 😔

Thank you 🙏 I truly appreciate it. Dozens of our images have been reuploaded to various Fandom wikis (and untilthis, it was always with no credit or credit with no link) and you're the only person we've been in contact with who's offered to take them down.

For AoI artwork, the only advice I would have to get good quality images would be to use a capture card with the Switch 2, or even just native screenshots, since there's no way to rip them directly yet :/

That is fair. Apologizes if I sounded a bit harsh, I've mostly interacted with people who were not interested in hearing about these issues at all. This is not the first time our images haven been re-uploaded to fandom, although again, I do appreciate the credit, which people usually don't do.

Additionally, all the images I've uploaded are my own screenshots taken in-game (I also do background removal myself). I'm not a data-miner, so I don't know how to rip artwork from games. On top of this, the Switch 2 has not been cracked, so it's not possible to retrieve artwork from Switch 2 games.

These images are now going to show up in Google image results and redirect people to Fandom, which hurts our SEO (independent wikis are already at a disadvantage on that front). We've also been credited in text on the page, but not as the source on the images themselves, where it is most needed.

Hi. Although I appreciate the crediting, there is a reason why I upload the screenshots I take to the independent Zelda Wiki and not Fandom. I do not like the work I do for free making a company money. Fandom wikis are plastered with ads and they make a lot of money off of fans' volunteer work.

also mb, only realized after posting it, it doesn't match perfectly because it's the older model (I've since replaced it with one that is higher quality). That older model has been stolen and re-used by various fandom wikis, so it can be found in a few places when looking him up on google images

oh hey! I'm an editor for the Zelda Wiki and I'm the one who made the Ganondorf model used in the new thumbnail :D these character shots require a lot of time and work (mods, getting the right pose, removing background etc), would you mind crediting the wiki in the description? it would mean a lot 🙏
