I feel the same way about Labor. The Liberals at least seem to be trying. They are just not competent and don’t value expert advice. Labor are just seat warming. My vote will not go to either party as I look for politicians with integrity and competence. Greens and good independents are fine

Exactly Nick. Every step of this project will bring their own reality numbers. Then as the realities come, the focus will turn to who is going to pay for the increasing cost items. It is unlikely to be private money which leaves the Federal Government - also unlikely

"In Tasmania’s stadium debate, highly‑polarised positions have emerged. For some, the stadium is vital not only for sport and business, but as a symbol of hope and aspiration for our young people. For others, it represents money diverted from urgent priorities like education, health and housing."

This is a good time to take notice of which politicians work for a more democratic Tasmania with integrity and reasoned decision making - we need more of these! Find others who can be into Parliament to do a better job. No more win-lose games, political point scoring and division

Tasmania is a wonderful place to live in spite of our politics and could be such a jewel to the rest of the world. It contains so many natural wonders, a pace of life to be envied, the arts, the food and our connectivity to each other. We need to pull together to build a future that works for us all

To service debt you have either increase your incoming money or reduce the outgoing by reducing services. The state of Tasmania's hospitals, public schools and housing availability needs significant investment

After all the PR and big money is spent 'winning', the facts remain and won't go away. Tasmania's financial position is dire. Our credit rating has been downgraded, this means the interest paid on our borrowings will be higher, making it harder to pay back the debt.

A really comprehensive and insightful review Sue. Very impressive. Understanding the contents of this report will help us influence others, decide on who we vote for and decide who we don't give our money to. Each of us must make change otherwise climate change and inequality rolls on - not good!
