The opioid crisis opened our collective eyes, but it did not ultimately lead to the fentanyl crisis. That's too simplistic. Yes, there is overlap and synergy, but the situation is closer to the Opium Wars than just simply a snowballing addiction crisis from one family.

I don't doubt it for the future but also you need at least 200kWh for a tow vehicle. I don't understand why Ford ever thought their 200-300 mi range was going to be enough to compete with an ICE truck.

Daily reminder that the only reason Chinese EVs are ridiculously cheap is because they are subsidized heavily. Not criticism, but people keep asking for a $20k EV in the US and the batteries alone cost the manufacturer $8-10k per vehicle because, well, IT COMES FROM CHINA without the subsidies.
