3 Week healing- Does thus warrant a fix?

Is this healing ok
I have a few other tattoos, and all of them healed pretty well. This one hasn't. I got this tattoo about 3 days ago and I had Saniderm on it for 2 days, planning on keeping it on for the full four days like I normally do. I know that the use of it and length of use of it is debatable, but that's always worked really well for me and all my friend group. I noticed what looked like a bloody or raw area underneath the saniderm through the ink sack that had built up on the night of day two so I took off the saniderm and somehow I think it pulled off a lot of the dead skin, possibly when it started swelling to make the ink sack or something. I've never had a tattoo get this red, but I have been having skin allergy reactions that I haven't ever really had problems with before lately, hives and stuff randomly for the last few months. I've been using aquaphor, washing two or three times a day with unscented dove bar soap and lukewarm water, and taking allergy medication and ibuprofen. I've seen different things, and I know everyones skin reacts a little different. Any thoughts or knowledge would be appreciated. Scrotum tattoo update
Ok folks, if any of you were with me in my last post. I had outlined that I had gotten a fig leaf tattoo on the right side of my balls/ scrotum. I had it done initially and it faded, then the second time and it faded, but the third time truly was the lucky spot and here’s what I learned! Leaving the second skin on for 5 days is what really let such specific skin hold the ink and heal with it without fallout, it was a b!tch but it worked. I kept the second skin on for 5 days and it healed beautifully. And lemme tell you when I surprised my partner with it, he LOVED IT. coverup ideas?
I got this about 2 years ago. First tattoo, the artists other anime work was really great but this is just, bad. I haven’t added anything around it because it is done so poorly. Is this even able to be covered up? I don’t really want a super dark sleeve so I think my options are dealing with it, or getting a few removal sessions and then getting other tattoos. I like Zelda, I wanted to get Minda on the other side of the arm to match. I like Studio Ghibli and the correlation between Kodamas (ghibli) and Koroks (Zelda)… I also have a tui and la tattoo from avatar. (Different artist & she did an amazing job) Advice appreciated. I made this Mary Poppins Carousel tattoo by myself (what a pain) and I was considering painting the body of the horse pink or another colour. Is this okay now or should I do that? What do u believe?

Has my tattoo improved with the addition of colors?

I know it depends on artist. But what’s a reasonable amount for this design?
I’ve been wanting to get this design on my inner bicep. I am planning for it to be about 6 inches. I’ve asked two different artists and the first one said that it would be about 300. I’ve asked a second artist and they said for this to be about 800. More expensive does it mean it would be better or what else should I consider? Advice regarding ink color???
Hey! I want to get my first tattoo. I know, black and bold is the way to go, but I can't help totally loving tattoos that are in color. Both red and blue are really speaking to me. I'm pale myself, live in Austria, so it doesn't get terribly hot or humid in the summer, and I generally don't like being in the sun too much without protection. I'm planning to get the tattoo done on my back, which is covered 90+% of the time. I'm aware that I really, really need to make sure to get a good artist who has experience with the kind of tattoo I want. But does anyone here have more advice for me? She's late I got this done for her birthday am I right doing so? Cos my mom doesn't like the tattoo. She wants me to have her face on me instead of my dog and I'm unapologetic about it cos I miss my dog Riley, and I'm thinking I went too far thou and my mom's not happy about this decision I made. Can the whiskers be covered?
I got this new school portrait of my cat. The artist felt he should thicken a whisker for some reason, so I thought the others should be thickened a bit to match it. Then he did some weird flicks at the end, and to fix that, he thickened them even more. Do you think the whiskers could be covered up with another tattoo right underneath? Tulip tattoo -is this a good idea?
My grandma always planted tulips and she was into birds and gardening and plants Her garden was beautiful and when I was little I would catch lady bugs in her garden and play with them (🥲poor lady bugs) anyways I saw this in a video on TikTok and I thought it would be a perfect tattoo-the smaller tulip hugging the taller one❤️ She passed away in 2022 I have been wanting to get a tattoo of a tulip because they remind me of her. I want to change this
I got the 666 on my hands as a younger person and now in my new career field this can be construed in a very negative way. i was thinking just having a tattoo artist add a small connecting line just to make them zeros instead or possibly put a line to denote they're nines and not sixes? any help in regards to ideas for a cover up i would appreciate, thank you! regretting placement
f21, ive got around 14 tattoos and i love the design of my latest one but i was seriously debating placement, now about a month healed im feeling weird/like i messed up putting it on my sternum. any advice would be very appreciated. Is it rude to ask an artist to see their portfolio?
Earlier this year I won a gift card at a fundraiser event for a tattoo shop. The tattoo shop unfortunately closed, but the owner of that shop went to another shop, and he will still honor the gift card but I can’t really seem to find much work he’s done. His former shop didn’t have many photos on their socials, and the current shop he’s at has only posted maybe 2-3 photos of his work so far. Is it rude to ask to see his portfolio before I book with him? Edit: thanks everyone for your advice!! I’m still a newbie with tattoos, I only have two small ones, so I wanted to check with this sub before I asked. I scrolled all the way back to the social of his closed shop and found some more photos of his and I’m not thrilled, but I’m still going to ask. If I still don’t like what I see, or if he doesn’t respond in a great way, I’m just going to toss the gift card and not use it. Definitely don’t want anything on my skin I’m not 100% sure about! Concern scabbing, or normal healing?
I got this done on the 17th of this month, so it’s been about a week since I got it but is it normal for it to look like this while healing? I’ve been washing it with unscented, antibacterial+sensitive dial soap and a balm my artist gave me (in pic) this is my first tattoo and I have absolutely no idea if this kind of scabbing is normal. Best clothing for back tattoo?
I’ll be getting a piece done on my back in a few weeks, not sure what to wear (I’m a lady and would like to keep my chest as covered as possible) it’ll be mostly along my spine from shoulder blades to my waist, so I’m not worried about what to wear on the bottom. I’m thinking a large zip up hoodie or flannel that I can wear backwards so my front is covered if I get up to stretch, go to the bathroom etc, and then a baggy tshirt to wear home. Too soon to go to the beach?
Hi! I got this tattoo done on December 11th, my dumbass self forgot I have a beach trip on December 30th, there’s going to be pools, beaches, and a lot of sun😭 My question is should I cover it with second skin? My first Tattoo. Day 15
Hi everyone, it’s day 15 and the peeling is almost finished. The lower wrist is still peeling,I’m not sure if it peeled later because there’s a lot of movement in that area. Does it look okay? I’m washing and moisturising it once a day. When can I start using sunscreen? I’m in Northern Australia and the sun is brutal here 💀.
