Yeah!! It makes me want to try picking up a language again but I go crosseyed every time hah. Very cool that English really is just a big soup pot of "whatever the hell makes sense" at any given time... for better or worse sometimes (looking at modern meme culture)

This is really interesting! I found it funny that very early English sounds a lot like German and Swedish to me. I swear I hear "nicht" and "i bori" or "jag i bori" in there a few times- though that may be a bias since I learned bits of those languages. Also started understanding about 900 AD
