A quick shout out to some of my favorite shield users and defenders of all time. Not even remotely exhaustive. Sometimes you also need a hammer or sword wielded with wisdom and intent. WW2 fighter pilots here again with an extra right hand to the forehead for the RAF + ships + et al. at Dunkirk.
