I wondered if the G.P.s initial response fell under Equality Act, also how many people have been bullied into unnecessary travel/ hassle before. It’s the village’s only G.P. so she doesn’t even have the opportunity to go elsewhere.

Happy to say my mum has sorted her blood test woes out & has an appointment. Her G.P. said they couldn’t do a blood test & send the results to the hospital because the hospital is on a different computer system & she‘d have to take 2 buses to another town if she wanted it done. She’s a wheelchair /1

The hospital asking for blood test said the G.Ps was wrong & it was left there…then today she got a survey from G.Ps about how her appointment went so she filled it in and now they’re giving her the blood test. I suspect the hospital got on to them as well. //

User, but only recently & is also nervous about using buses as she was unsteady on her feet before. Anyway whatever, at least an hour journey to the other town by bus, or taxi and pay a fortune. The G.P said she should have known about the computer system thing and not asked for blood test /2

IDK who started the have more children if you’re white chat. The attitude of *most people* towards childless women is terrible in any case. From pity to inappropriate questions & actual insults. It’s almost as if you think it’s our manifest destiny to push out babies & we have no value otherwise.

One of the worst experiences of my life was going to a coding workshop. Going in, ‘wahey! I’m going to learn stuff!’ coming out, ‘I am an idiot that doesn’t deserve to own a laptop’. The guy actually rolled his eyes and we all cowered.

Another problem is when tech people see normies misunderstanding tech things you to talk to us like we are a bunch of malicious idiots. When in fact we don’t have enough knowledge to parse what you are saying.

Less of vehemence against people who don’t speak your language would go a long way.

It’s not a conspiracy, it’s that tech folks overestimate the tech knowledge of normies. What seems obvious and basic to people in tech is mysterious to the rest of us.

For example, much of what @bossett.social is saying here was gobbledygook to me until I started asking tons of questions

He claims his punch was a reaction, but the killers’ attack was entirely unprovoked. He seems to be saying that he was a racist as a youth as if that is some kind of excuse for killing someone. No. If he wants parole, then tell the truth, but he can’t, he’s a murdering coward.
